A look behind the scenes: Taineeship at CeramTec

CeramTec Training Evening Premiere

Plochingen, 2014-08-25

Interested students had a chance to see CeramTec on site for themselves for the first time before the start of the application process for training positions in the coming year. Last week around 40 young adults accompanied by 20 family members took advantage of the opportunity to learn more about the company at Plochingen, its products and the technical training occupations it has to offer. They talked to experienced trainers and had experts review their application materials.

The students from the region received information on the “Industrial Mechanic” and “Machine and Equipment Operator” commercial training occupations. The visitors were also offered a tour of the modern training facility. The “application materials check” was popular among the students. It gave potential applicants a chance to receive helpful tips and suggestions for improving their applications and CVs from industry professionals. A few students seized the opportunity and personally submitted applications to their prospective trainers for the start of the 2015 training year. Candidates also had a chance to win a CV photo shoot to help complete their applications with the perfect profile picture.

The direct, informal exchange with students and parents showed how surprised people often are by the sheer variety of products the Ceramic Experts offers. CeramTec R&D department was on hand too, to give expert advance and introduced the interested students to the world of advanced ceramics with two ceramic games and a small experiment conducted with a ball head for hip joint replacement systems. The students received ceramic name tags and had their names engraved on them as a small souvenir to take home with them. Overall a premiere with resounding success, that will be continued in 2015.
