Donating to a good cause is already a tradition at CeramTec. The ceramic experts are now starting the new year with another charitable gesture. Instead of buying Christmas gifts for customers, the company donated the considerable sum of 8,000 euros to the “Sterntaler” Children’s Hospice in Dudenhofen. CeramTec also supported the hospice with a donation last year.

The financial contribution will benefit the children’s hospice, which supports and helps terminally-ill children and their families. CeramTec employees collected 2,001.10 euros for the cause. Following last year’s precedent, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer of the Medical Applications Segment, Dr. Hadi Saleh, once again matched the sum that was raised. The company itself then doubled this amount once again. This resulted in an impressive total sum of 8,004.40 euros to be donated.

“With the donation we want to show the importance we place on social commitment and charitable causes. We would like to express our sympathy for the difficult circumstances faced by those affected and provide some respite for them and their families with this donation. We are particularly proud that this year our employees were once again prepared to show their commitment with a personal contribution to the children’s hospice.”

“Words cannot express our gratitude to CeramTec and its dedicated team for their long-term support of our organization. Without responsible and socially engaged companies and donors such as this, there would be no in-patient children’s hospices in Germany as they still depend primarily on donations to finance themselves.”

Linnford Nnoli, Head of Public Relations for the “Sterntaler” Children's Hospice

The pillars of the Kinderhospiz Sterntaler e. V. in Mannheim include the in-patient “Kinderhospiz Sterntaler” children’s hospice in Dudenhofen, the “Häusliche Kinderkrankenpflege Sterntaler”, out-patient care services for sick children at home in the Rhein-Neckar metropolitan region, “Kindertagespflege Sterntaler”, which provides day care services for children, and “Familienbegleiter Sterntaler”, a group of volunteers who support sick children and young adults whose life expectancies have been cut short and their families in the Rhein-Neckar area.
