New Manager at the CeramTec Chemical Applications Division

Thomas Heise succeeds Peter Schröter as Divison Manager within the CeramTec Group

Thomas Heise has been appointed the new manager of the CeramTec Chemical Applications division effective January 1st, 2013. He succeeds Peter Schröter, who begins his well-deserved retirement on December 31st, 2012. Mr. Heise has been a member of the CeramTec group since 1981 and is an expert in advanced ceramics with vast experience in the field of technical ceramics for electronic applications, which he utilized in international projects working for the CeramTec Electronic Applications division.

Mr. Schröter started working at one of the CeramTec predecessor companies, Rosenthal Technik AG, as a development engineer in 1976. In 1986, he joined the sales team. The legal merger of Hoechst CeramTec AG and Cerasiv into CeramTec AG in 1996 led also to the creation of a new division, Chemical Applications, that specialized in advanced ceramic components designed to meet the highest demands in the chemicals industry, in laboratory and environmental technology and in foundries, which Mr. Schröter became the manager of the same year.

Mr. Schröter symbolized also the ceramic catalyst carrier business within the CeramTec group, and mastered the challenge of transferring technologies to the CeramTec site at Laurens (SC) in the United States with his dedicated team. In addition to heading the division, Mr. Schröter also acted as the speaker for management and represented executives on the Supervisory Board of the CeramTec group. The CeramTec management board wishs Mr. Schröter all the best for this new phase in his life and Mr. Heise a successful start in his new and challenging position as division manager.
