Rolf-Michael Müller, CFO of CeramTec GmbH and chairman of the Ceramics Industry Association, was elected chairman of the association at the federal level at the general meeting. He succeeds Franz Kook, CEO of Duravit AG, who retired at the end of 2011 and resigned from the offices he held at the association.

Frank Göhring, CEO of Villeroy & Boch AG, was elected as Rolf-Michael Müller’s deputy chairman at the federal level of the German Ceramics Industry Association. With his appointment as federal chairman Rolf-Michael Müller was also appointed to the board of the Federal Association of German Industry (BDI).

His appointment is one of a number of changes that took place at the German Ceramics Industry Association and its member groups. At the end of February the Ceramics Industry Association’s long-time managing director, Peter Frischholz, retired from his position. Christoph René Holler, a lawyer who was previously employed by the Federal Association of Chemical Industry Employers (BAVC) in Wiesbaden as deputy managing director for collective agreement policy, took over the position of managing director on March 1st.
