CeramTec Chairman of the Board Rolf-Michael Müller is the new head of the VKI

CeramTec Chairman of the Board Rolf-Michael Müller MüllerFor the first time in its 100-year history, the German Ceramic Industry Association (Verband der Keramischen Industrie – VKI) has elected a chairman from the field of technical ceramics – Plochingen-based CeramTec AG board member Rolf-Michael Müller. Mr. Müller is replacing former Rosenthal CEO Ottmar C. Küsel, who headed the association for more than nine years. Following its bankruptcy, Rosenthal is no longer a member of the VKI. The association represents almost 13,000 employees and 1.16 billion euros in revenues. Additional members of the VKI board: Deputies Dr. Bernhard Kahl, CEO of Lapp Insulators GmbH in Wunsiedel and Nicolas Luc Villeroy from Villeroy & Boch AG in Mettlach; Rainer Kober, CEO of Kober Steinwiesen GmbH, Christian Strootmann from Selb-based porcelain manufacturer BHS Tabletop and Werner Weiherer, CEO of the Weiden-based porcelain manufacturer Christian Seltmann GmbH were chosen as additional members of the board.
