Graduate Opportunities

Engineering is at the heart of what we do at CeramTec and we are always looking to bring new talent into our UK team. These graduate opportunities are designed to offer hands-on development with real accountabilities and responsibilities delivered over a 3 year period.

After on-boarding to our organization you will take on a defined engineering role in one of our teams focused on either New Product Engineering (NPE) or Project Engineering. You will be expected to deliver in this role for 12 – 18 months before moving onto your next position in the Engineering team. Your second role will still have Engineering at the heart but may also include commercial elements as you start to understand our customers and how we can deliver best in class products.

In addition to your operational roles you will be assigned at least two challenge projects over the 3 year period. These challenge projects are focused on resolving real business issues which contribute to achieving our strategic goals. They will offer you opportunities to work with cross functional teams and stretch your skills beyond the day to day engineering role.

After your 3 years is successfully completed you will be offered a role in our Engineering team, either developing your technical mastery as an Engineer or starting a career in leading others.

Project Engineering

Based at our Southampton site you will support our Medical or Flow business teams providing project engineering support to ensure we create products that meet the demands of our customers and can be manufactured to a high standard in our business. You will have varied responsibilities including working on new customer funded projects or delivering updates and new capabilities to our standard sensor and transducer range. Day to day tasks will include amongst others, project management, technical product testing, risk management, specification writing, design analysis, attending exhibitions, liaison with suppliers and system / data documentation. The role will follow the relevant ISO standards and you will be working towards concluding phases of an APQP style project.



  • Educated to degree standard in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (minimum 2:2).
  • English language - business level fluency
  • Numerate
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel - anticipated to be occasional travel across UK and potential travel to Europe


  • Experience of using CAD
  • Full UK driving licence
