Sales Manager: Medical Equipment

Based in either of our UK offices (Southampton / Ruabon), this position will report directly to the Sales Director and have responsibility for delivering organic growth across the medical equipment market through a combination of key account management and new business development.

This position will suit a highly motivated and driven individual, capable of rapidly growing and developing the accounts in an exciting and diverse market. The role will be primarily targeting opportunities across mainland Europe and America and will therefore have approximately 50% travel (international & domestic).

This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is looking to play a key role in delivering against aggressive growth plans within a successful business.

Key duties of the position include

  • Meet and exceed set targets for business growth, contributing to a global sales team
  • Build strategic partnerships by growing existing client relationships in order to expand year on year revenue
  • Research and identify potential prospects for generating new leads and future business partners
  • Attend exhibitions, sales meetings and client visits as per required to meet the demands of the business.
  • Meet regularly with clients to understand and define their needs, ensuring maximum client satisfaction is achieved
  • Work with the Marketing and Innovation team to best determine the appropriate product and technology strategy to suit your client’s individual requirements
  • Forecast sales orders and assist the timely and successful delivery of goods

Candidate Profile

  • Ideally, you will demonstrate previous experience selling technical products within the medical market or as a minimum, have a proven track record working with technical products in a customer facing role and possess a technical education to degree level (for example Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science).
  • You will thrive in a team environment and have a track record of successfully building relationships across functions and with external customers and internal stakeholders
  • You will demonstrate strong customer focus in your previous sales roles and excellent commercial awareness
  • You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor your approach in order to persuade and influence others
  • You will be enthusiastic, proactive and demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • You will be a logical, structured and tenacious problem solver, looking beyond the obvious to identify solutions for customers and deliver results
  • You will demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to embrace change and successfully work in situations where there is ambiguity
  • You will thrive in an autonomous environment and be capable of delivering results independently and within a team
  • You will be numerate and skilled in grasping key technical concepts quickly and thoroughly
  • You will be fluent in English (written & verbal). Additional languages will be highly advantageous, in particular German.
  • You will have the ability to travel for approximately 50% of your time, predominately across Mainland Europe. A full European Driving licence will be advantageous.

We are targeting a start date as soon as practical. The assessment process will be a three step process and will be conducted in English:
