Volume produced dry-pressed substrates
Using a very high degree of production line
automation and custom-built tooling, CeramTec
manufactures dry-pressed substrates to customer's
specification in large production volumes. The
dry-press process allows the manufacture of
substrates with holes, snap-lines, or irregular
outside contours in almost any thickness.

Even different thicknesses within the same substrate can be produced. The dry-pressing method is suitable for making substrates of highly complex geometries, including through-holes and blind holes of 0.2 mm minimum diameter.
If necessery, extremely narrow tolerances can be realized by hard machining after the production process.
After the dry-press process our substrates can be metallized on-site in our facilities.
