RoHS – Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment
This directive describes the avoidance of dangerous or hazardous substances in electrical or electronical equipment. The Business Unit Multifunctional Ceramics produces and sells ceramic components which means that we are not affected by this directive but possibly our customers. The main ingredients of piezo-ceramic parts are lead – compounds as leadzirconate or leadtitanate. Unfortunately this cannot be avoided which is as well the conclusion of the European Commission. Therefore electrical components which contain lead in a ceramic matrix compound have an exemption from the restriction in the End-Of-Life Vehicles directive.
Despite of this respectively due to this we want to assist our customers in this matter:
We offer to redeem piezoceramic components and to recycle the materials in processes which will protect the environment. Precondition is, that the piezoceramic parts will be delivered without contamination respectively foreign substances (not in a housing, casted or moulded).
