Design guidelines
CeramTec manufactures ceramic tubes for surge arresters using two manufacturing processes - dry pressing and extrusion.
The table below shows the technically appropriate sizes and tolerances:

through an additional machining process.
Layer thickness of the metallization
The ceramic is metallized with a tungsten layer and overplated with nickel to achieve good wetting properties for the brazing process.
