Piezoceramics
Piezoceramics are at the cutting edge of many new developments. Due to their special and proactive properties, these materials have already tapped many applications and have a firm footing in modern engineering.
During the production process, the piezoceramic materials develop very specific and uniquely combined properties. These place piezoceramic components in a position to:
- convert mechanical energy such as pressure, expansion or acceleration into electrical energy
- convert electrical energy into mechanical movement or force
Piezoceramics require only very little energy and their shape potential is almost unlimited. Such properties allow this material to be used in widely-ranging equipment and mechanical engineering applications.
