Key properties

Rubalit® 708

Based on 96-percent aluminum oxide, Rubalit® 708 was developed specifically for making heavy-duty resistors and miniature metal-layer resistors. Because of its outstanding strength, this same material is also used for precision wire wound resistors.

Rubalit® 702

Rubalit® 702 is a high-performance material for producing metal-layer resistors. Containing 85-percent aluminum oxide, it achieves strength and thermal conductivity values normally only obtainable with much higher levels of Al2O3. Thest have shown that Rubalit® 702 is able to dissipate as much heat as the cap and layer can release to the air and the conductor. Because of its extreme strength, trimming is only possible using layers.

Rubalit® 600

Rubalit® 600 is suitable for both mechanical and laser trimming and is chiefly used as the core for high-grade carbon-film resistors.
