Thermocouple Tubes
The variety of our products are used within the thermocouple or temperature
measurement industry.
Demanding application temperatures up to 1700 °C combined with resistance to aggressive atmospheres, CeramTec’s products are widely used in the stability of processes.
Various materials, i.e. Rubalit® C799, Dimulit® C610 provide high electrical insulation combined with mechanical strength. Also available is a slightly porous material Pormulit® C530.
“As fired” finished, the different products are produced in accordance with the tolerance standards DIN 40680.
Protection Tubes used for the outer-protection sheath, are complete “formed one-piece” items. This type of closing one end guarantees a high resistance against penetration of the outer atmosphere into the measurement system, as well as avoiding de-capping caused by thermo-shock.
Insulating Tubes for mounting the thermocouple range from single up to ten-bore in design, either as round or oval forms. Slots can also be inserted.
RTD’s, resistance temperature detectors, need high purity of the insulating ceramic and close tolerances. Manufactured multi-bore tubes based on Rubalit® C799 are used amongst the best producers of RTDs worldwide.
